Why Use This Tool?
PNG files are perfect for graphics but heavy for photos, and plenty of forms and apps only accept JPG. This page converts any PNG to a high-quality JPG in a blink — right in your browser, with nothing uploaded anywhere.
The quality slider sits at 90% by default, which keeps photos looking sharp while shrinking the file dramatically. Batch conversion works too: drop a whole folder of PNGs and grab the JPGs in one go.
How It Works
- Drop your PNG files. One or a hundred — they all queue up.
- Pick your JPG quality. 90% is the sweet spot for photos you'll share or print.
- Download the JPGs, one by one or all at once.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does converting PNG to JPG lose quality?
PNG is lossless and JPG is not, so a tiny amount of detail is traded away. At 90% quality the difference is virtually invisible in photos, and the file gets much lighter.
What happens to transparency?
JPG cannot store transparent pixels, so see-through areas become white. If you need transparency preserved, stay with PNG or switch to WebP.
Is there a file size limit?
Files up to 60 MB convert fine — far larger than any normal screenshot or export.
Tips & Things to Watch
- Stay between 85 and 95 for anything you'll re-edit later.
- Keep logos and line art as PNG — JPG softens hard edges.
- Keep your PNG originals as the master copies.
