Why Use This Tool?

Need a classic GIF for a forum, chat app, or old-school workflow? Drop a single PNG for a one-frame GIF, or drop a numbered sequence and set the frame delay to build a smooth animation.

Encoding runs in your browser with a small worker pool — no upload, no queue. GIF's 256-color palette and 1-bit transparency mean it's best for graphics and simple animations, not photographic gradients.

How It Works

  1. Drop one PNG for a still GIF, or a sequence in play order.
  2. Set the frame delay (100 ms feels natural) and pick a background fill.
  3. Click Build GIF and download your file.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make an animated GIF?

Drop two or more PNGs in order, set the delay, and click build. The frames play in the order you added them.

What happens to transparency?

GIF supports only fully transparent or fully opaque pixels. Choose a background fill color to sit behind any see-through areas.

Why does my photo look banded?

GIF stores 256 colors per frame. Photos with smooth gradients show banding; PNG or WebP are the better homes for photographs.

Tips & Things to Watch

  • 100 ms per frame is a natural default speed.
  • Great for logos, charts, and UI mockups — not photos.
  • Keep your PNG masters for future re-edits.
